This Old Hong Kong photo was taken on Mar 29, 1972 by Mr Hung Cheung Kong from a helicopter. Mr Hung used medium format Hasselblad film camera, so resolution was very high.
Central. From left to right, the Furama Hotel was under construction, while the Hong Kong Club was demolished in 1981. The Hong Kong Hilton Hotel with its sign on top, also demolished in 1995, along with the third generation Hongkong Bank Building in front of the Statue Square, which was taken down in 1981. The famous Connaught Centre with rounded windows on the right was under construction. The old Star Ferry Pier was relocated in 2006.
Exhibition in Central Building Oct - Dec 2025. Exhibition size was 60x60cm.
